The Khondlon project comprises of a granted licence of over 900km2 which lies within the western edge of the Uvs Nuur Basin. The licence also forms part of the Uvs Nuur Evaporite Project.

The Khondlon project covers additional exploration targets including:

  • Coal deposits at the northern edge of the licence which covers a large carboniferous basin. The Hueden coal deposit is located within a small excised mining lease at the northern end of the licence. This deposit comprises of two coal seams with a lower coal seam, 20m thick. The upper seam outcrops at surface and appears to be of poorer coal quality, however the lower coal seams appears to be a high quality coal product. The coal seams are likely to extend well into the Company’s tenements.
  • Gabbroic copper-nickel targets within a large outcropping and layered gabbro at the southern end of the tenement.

The project is well serviced by infrastructure with a nearby airport at Ulaangom with regular flights from Ulaanbaatar and good quality bitumen roads leading to railways in Russia.
